Is my new cricket bat ready to use immediately?

Usually not. Even if a bat is labeled as "pre-prepared" or has an Extratec sleeve, it still requires proper knocking-in before being used in match conditions. Using a raw or semi-prepared bat immediately against a match ball can cause immediate, non-warranty damage.
However some brands now offer pre-knocked bats! This means the bat has been knocked in at this factory of origin prior to arrive in our stores.

Do you offer a bat knocking-in service?

Yes. We offer a professional, in-house services. This custom process is tailored to YOUR bat's needs. You can find out more about our Knocking In Services here

If you prefer to do it yourself, we provide free DIY guides for both Natural and Pre-Prepared bats on our website.

What is Extratec?

Extratec is a clear, self-adhesive protective film applied to the face and edges of a cricket bat. It helps prevent surface cracks and moisture damage. For premium bats, we highly recommend our heavy-duty Fibretec Facing option for maximum protection.

How do I figure out my size for gear?

We maintain a comprehensive Product Advice section online to help you find the correct sizing for bats, pads, gloves, and helmets. If you check the guide and are still unsure, email us at enquire@cricketcentre.com.au for personalized advice.
