A full preparation process is absolutely required before use. Proper preparation compresses and strengthens the willow fibres, physically conditioning the wood for match play. Completing every stage of this process is extremely important to maximise the performance, longevity, and overall protection of your bat. If these crucial steps are skipped or not completed correctly, the risk of severely damaging your new bat is exceptionally high; its performance may never reach its true potential and warranty validity may be impacted.
