A bat for players who make the game look easy, the 2026 Flare embodies freedom at the crease – balanced, responsive, and instinctive. It rewards touch, timing, and imagination, built for those who trust their hands and play with natural rhythm.

With its mid-to-low swell, finely tuned pick-up, and sculpted profile, the Flare feels alive from the first drive to the last flick off the pads. Every movement is fluid, every shot a statement of effortless control.

Refined for 2026, the Flare introduces a cleaner aesthetic and a white Fuze grip – delivering the connection, comfort, and feedback demanded by stroke-makers who shape the game their way.

GCCC Warranty & Consumer Guarantees

At the Greg Chappell Cricket Centre (GCCC), we stand behind the quality of the gear we sell. We want you to love your equipment, but we know that sometimes things don’t go exactly to plan on the field.

Whether an item doesn't fit quite right or a piece of gear hasn't performed the way it should, we are committed to finding a fair and fast solution under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Cricket Bats - Check out our Cricket Bat Warranty Information Guide Here

Due to Health & Safety precautions we will not accept any returns on personal undergarments (such as briefs, trunks & jocktraps), protectors or socks.

All other products not listed, and any products out of this warranty period, will be assessed by the GCCC and the manufacturer on a goodwill basis.

General Warranties - What is Covered vs. What is Not

What IS Covered

A warranty claim is valid if a product fails due to a manufacturing defect under normal playing conditions. Examples include:

Split seams or unraveling stitching on bags, shoe tongues, gloves or pads shortly after purchase.

Splitting or separation of a shoe sole from the upper (not caused by dragging).

Broken buckles, straps, or zippers under normal usage.

What IS NOT Covered

Cricket is a high-impact sport, and gear is subjected to extreme force. The warranty does not cover:

Normal Wear & Tear: Fraying fabric, scuff marks, or gradual cosmetic degradation from regular use.

Spike/Stud Damage: Damage to the upper shoe mesh or leather caused by a player accidentally catching their own footwear with their spikes.

Improper Care: Mold or rotting caused by storing wet gear in a closed bag, or heat damage from leaving equipment in a hot car boot.

Misuse: Using equipment for purposes other than cricket, or modification of the product.

🛠️ The Assessment & Remedy Process

Because we partner with the world’s leading cricket brands, we work directly with manufacturers to assess specialized gear.

The Assessment: When you lodge a claim, our team (and sometimes the manufacturer) will inspect the item. This process typically takes 5 to 10 business days.

The Result: If the item has a major failure, you are entitled to a choice of a replacement or a full refund. If the failure is minor, we will happily repair the item or replace it within a reasonable timeframe.

📋 How to Make a Claim

We want to make this as painless as possible. Please follow these steps to get sorted:

Step 1: Get in Touch

Before sending or bringing your gear back to us, contact our Customer Service team to discuss the issue.

📞 Free Call: 1800 HOWZAT (1800 469 928)

✉️ Email: enquire@cricketcentre.com.au

OR fill in a GCCC Returns Form and our Customer Service team will review and advise of next steps.

Step 2: Provide Proof of Purchase

To process any warranty claim, you must supply a valid proof of purchase. This includes your original register receipt, an online order confirmation email, or a bank statement showing the transaction.
And if you have a GCCC Account, we can easily locate this in your purchase history!

Step 3: Present the Goods

Following instructions from our team, you can either bring the item into your local GCCC store or securely mail it back to one of our stores for a professional assessment.

Please Note: For Custom Made items - eg custom-built bats (such as the Gray-Nicolls Custom Builder & SCC Custom Bats), Custom Clothing, Custom Helmets or any other "special order item" please note that change-of-mind returns are not accepted due to the personalised nature of the product. However, they remain fully covered by the manufacturing warranty.

Just bought a brand-new cricket bat and need some help Knocking it in? The Greg Chappell Cricket Centre has you covered!

If you wish to prepare your new bat yourself, we have a How-To guide in the video below -

Alternatively, read on to find out about the Professional In-Store Bat Knocking-In Services offered by the GCCC -

At the Greg Chappell Cricket Centre, we want you to walk out to the crease with complete confidence. English willow is a beautiful, natural, and soft timber designed to strike a hard leather ball—but before your new blade ever faces a bowler, it needs to be properly prepared!

To ensure your bat performs at its peak and your manufacturer warranty remains fully protected, we offer expert, professional In-Store Knocking-In Services across all of our locations nationwide.

Please Note: We have updated our services to focus entirely on precision preparation. The previously offered Match Ready service is not currently available. However, bat knocking-ins are now handled exclusively through our In-Store Service, ensuring your bat receives dedicated, hands-on attention from our expert GCCC Kit Crew & it is ready for you to use faster!

Cricketers Please Note

  • Additional charges may apply for cleaning /repairing bats that have been used, pressed, poorly knocked/oiled or damaged.
  • Please be aware, there are strictly no returns once the knocking in service is underway or completed.
  • You will still be required to "Play In" your new bat following these services, prior to Match Use. Throw downs & net sessions are required to assess YOUR bat. Some bats are made of softer willow than others & may require additional "Playing In".

Why Choose The GCCC In-Store Service?

Most cricket bat manufacturers will void a warranty if a bat breaks due to insufficient or poor preparation - so not preparing your new cricket bat will jeopardize your warranty.
Our GCCC In-Store service will help you get your bat well on the way to "Match Ready", so that you can get to the "playing-In" stage, faster!

No Commercial "Strapped-In" Machines: GCCC strictly advises against automated commercial machines that strap a bat down and smash it uniformly. These frequently cause deep bruising to the willow or immediate shoulder damage.

Hand-Guided Precision: Our specialised in-store process is carefully monitored by hand, allowing our crew to adjust the impact force and spend extra time on the specific areas your unique willow cleft needs most.

Add Crucial Extra Protection In-Store

While your bat is with us for its knocking-in service, we highly recommend adding these vital defensive features to protect the most vulnerable zones of the blade:

Toe Guard / Toe Goo Application: Protects the bottom of your bat from structural splits caused by damp pitches or digging out lethal yorkers. This is a requirement for warranties as toe damage from damp wickets, tapping, sliding etc is not a manufacturing fault.

Grip Modifications: Ask our team to fit an extra grip or anti-slip additions for ultimate feel at the crease.

Ready to prep your blade?

Simply head into your nearest Greg Chappell Cricket Centre location and our expert Kit Crew will get you sorted.

Have questions about our current turnaround times? Give our national customer service hotline a buzz on 1800 469 928 or email us at enquire@cricketcentre.com.au.

We had the Beast 4.0 last year what a bat

This one seems equally capable and hopefully scores as many runs. Thank you to Chris and the team for all their help and the warranty repair on the 4.0 which was very well handled by the team. Great service.

    Delighted by the experience

Thank you for your staff’s patience and help as we selected a new bat for our son. The range of bats is also brilliant.

We ended up deciding to take the NB Gc 500 and we’re super happy. To make it even better, he scored a 50 with it in his first innings - must’ve been the bat for sure ;)

    Thank you
